Last Gasp Comeback falls Short

Going 3 down was never going to be easy
The first foray into the All-Ireland cup for this season, Galway something of an unknown quantity – it was all to play for. Galway took to the game a lot quicker and were 1 up after ten minutes as they bypassed the defensive efforts and scored a simple goal. Unfortunately there was a continuing pattern of turnovers which meant YM were continuously on the back foot. Galway scored another goal before half time. Half-time was, well, best not described! The second half there was more impetus from the home side and Emily and Hannah going close. However due to a defensive mix up Galway managed to get another. Thanks to our coaches tactical change of play putting four upfront and three in defence this had Galway confused. Resulting with Pod jabbing a goal from a short corner and shortly after Shauna getting a nifty cross from Hannah, the comeback was on, but too little too late and the game ended 3-2. Now to focus on div 3/4 cup!
