All the results from the weekend

So Saturday the 20th can suck my .... As a man in the club but as a lady I'm dancing in the street

Men's 1 vs daggers and Gordy! Due to my own game I didn't make it but heard it was a very tight game and both goalies were in top form. Corinthians scored first and in the last 6 games between the sides that generally means a win except for one game last Season. A 2-0 today so the lads need to pick themselves up , they are a great side going through a sticky patch and key injuries not helping they also need the club out Tuesday night to support them v UCD.

Men's 2s v monkstown
Was a long week trying to get a side out, a goalie due to unavailability and every week for all sides umpires. Things have definitely got better as lots more doers, still a bit of asking but getting there. The goal keeper took a long time but Scottie too hottie (did I just say that!!) Margetson stepped up and dawned the pads on. A very tight game and YM welcomed back the new Olympian bogger Barry which helped the stability. A cracking game that was 1-1 with a goal from Daniel Ellison at HT. Stand out performance was Scott between the sticks and he apparently made some fantastic saves but unfortunately the monkies nipped one right at the end and crushed the young YM hearts. This team is very young and have improved as the season has gone on and great credit has to go edwardo Lawlor. Still tight and another win or two needed.

Men's 3s were out in monkstown aswell in a must win game, well every game is a must win. Apparently their is not enough youth in the 3s so we were very fortunate to have 5 under 17s that catapulted the average age down to 55!! . Monkstown 2s sorry I mean 3s were on top from the start and had several corners and deservedly took the lead and it should have been more but for man of the season Shane and a terrific performance from the back 4.
As the game went on YM got back into the game and started to take control as dare I say it fitness showed ( that's actually true) a goal from Pete Thompson from a corner after great work from Colin and Kyle winning the corner was nicely timed. The second half YM dominated and missed several chance before Daniel Ellison showed us all how it's done besting the keeper on the reverse after an excellent run. Little beat squeeky at the end but we should have killed the game off plenty of times. A good win in millionaires row 2-1 no favour from the chaps so still a point behind and 5 to play. STAR player Ben O'grady simply ridiculously good

Men's 4s had a 4.30 KO v Avoca away. Didn't hear the score but they came second. Chalk it off and still a league to win.

Ladies 1s v Hermes.
I was down at this game to support the troops and it was only a case of whether they could score. They dominated the game but 0-0 at HT the only thing would be could they score or it's another draw as Hermes didn't lol up to much. A moment of messi from Emma Dixon to set up coups for a very calm finish which is in her locker made it one nil and then a Gary lineker finish on the line from Emma Dixon made it 2 straight after. I had 2 coffees and was still cold so I headed off happy that girls are now off the basement and looking up. MOM Sam composure Willis.

Ladies 2s played second in the league clontarf out at the bull ring looking to get closer to the title and a 3rd promotion in 3 years. Clontarf came out of the traps early and put YM under pressure early on but this is a very good twos side and Eve a newcomer this year managed to get a goal on the break. It was suddenly two as Rachel Ryan broke fed the delicious Amy A who got into the D and struck it home for the second ;) It was 3 nil at half time as Las Power scored again, I seem to say this every week. This girl is a proper forward and has a huge future in this ladies club.
Second half was a bit scrappy but when Rachel made it 4 the game and points were done and dusted. A consolation for tarf and to rub salt in the wounds the ever improving Louise in goal saved a flick. 10 points clear, nearly there but more points and goals to come with this side. Congratulations to all involved to date

Back to a 9.99 bottle of red. See you all at the race night next Saturday in the dropper and Tuesday night for the men's 1s v UCD in a must win game
