Hope everyone enjoyed the bank holiday weekend! They always go too quick but a short week this week and a big night on Saturday to look forward to…

Club News

Race night is on this Saturday (the 1st of November) in the Dropping Well. A big attendance is expected and there will be betting on the night if you have not already bought your horse. We hope to see everyone down from 8 onwards!
Well done to Marcus Miller who completed the Dublin Marathon last weekend and raised over €7000 for breast cancer research. Congratulations Double M!
Well done to Iain Walker who somehow managed to get manager of the month in the Fantasy hockey and Jaco Fourie who picked up player of the month. Fantasy report here>
Aaron Bailey competed in the All-Irelands schools tournament last week with St.Andrews going on the win it once again. It is the 3rd time that “Bails” has won the tournament and was one of only 3 players on his team to do so. Massive achievement, if only he was doing it with Wesley!!
Subs are now due. Anybody who has not started paying by Monday will not be allowed play the following weekend. Details here>

Match Reports

Colts

The funny corner

Do you know what seems odd to me?
Numbers that cannot be divided by two.

When life gives you melons….
…..You probably have dyslexia.

The Riddler

A brilliant house I often make
But not without a few mistakes
Royalty has raised me fair
And debtors can't escape my glare
My morals weak
I cannot speak
But I may grant you what you see.
What am I?
A deck of cards
I’m sure everyone has made a house out of cards at some stage, steady hands!

I never was, am always to be;
No one has seen me, nor will they see.
Close to sun's set, and far from sunrise;
I will live on, till time's own demise.

Best of luck with that one!

Let’s get some wins on the board this weekend and get November off to a good start.

See you Saturday!
Rob
