On Sunday afternoon the u12 boys headed to Weston to play against other Leinster clubs in a tournament. The boys started off the afternoon quite well against the Three Rock Rovers lads with goals aplenty! Peter and Adam (Reid) were controlling the midfield like Generals and with that came some goals. Unfortunately, they were a little too strong but the lads played well for their first hit out of the day.
After the boys had a little break we got into our 2nd and 3rd encounters versus Enniscorthy and Portrane. The goals were flowing in these games, Max couldn't stop scoring and Jordan was rock solid! I was really impressed with the skills the boys were showing. The boys then ended the afternoon with a tough match against Navan, although they ended up losing, the resilience shown by Jack and Adam (McNally) was inspiring after they thwarted attach after attack.
In all, the boys played extremely well for the whole of the afternoon and I was happy to see them having a bit of fun. The future looks fairly bright if these boys keep up this sort of form and persistence!!
