3 wins out of 4 for the U14s

They keep up their great start to the season

The boys played for 8 a side matches Sunday afternoon. They once again played out of their socks with spectacular passing and good team work.

They beat Railway 2-0 in the 1st match without to much trouble. Matthew stringing some great passes in the midfield with Louis scoring a classy reverse slotting it bottom left passed the keeper. Conner made great runs and good balls through to the other forwards.

After that we had a break for 15 minutes in which the boys snacked up on some lovely treats and juice thanks to Monkstown.

That seemed to inspire the boys as we beat Monkstown 1-0 on their own pitch. Alex with the goal, powering his way through. The backs Matthew, Richie, Sam and Kyle were like a brick wall at the back, and Jack in the goal with a solid few saves to ensure yet another clean sheet. It was a big performance with discipled defending holding them out to see through the match

Next up was Kilkenny and the boys was victorious 2-0 despite the Kilkenny boys being a head taller then most of our team. Some great work from James at the back what was a clear goal scoring chance for them ensured the Y with a 3rd consecutive clean sheet. We played smartly moving the ball around them and finding gaps in behind their backs

Last match was against Three Rock, we unfortunately lost 0-1. It was a tough game that was very even. Eoin and Samuel put in a massive performance working really hard on the right hand side of the field. I have to compliment the boys for how they showed determination to get the goal back. We pushed on but just couldn't get it in the goals.
