A newly rejuvenated 4s headed out with a full team for the first time in weeks to face Suttonians, a team dropped from div 2 and are currently unbeaten. After a motivational speech from newly appointed captain Graham we headed out full of energy. We defended deep and frustrated Suttonians for most of the half but leaked a goal a few mins before halftime. In the last couple of weeks heads would've gone down but instead we kept at it. We did have chances ourselves from 2 PCs We defended well and Suttonians started to get annoyed with cards flying all over the place. We pushed forward looking for the equaliser but were caught on the break 2-0 with about 10 to go. We didn't give up and kept attacking. A couple of chances came our way but the game finished a minute early as Rupert was hit in the head with a deflected crash ball and knocked him out. A quick trip to Vincent's in an ambulance for for him but got the all clear.
Suttonians commented that it was the toughest match they'd played this season and it only gives us confidence going into our January run of games. We have 4 games against teams all within 5 points of us plus a cup game. We can't wait, Viva La YM4 Revolution!!
