M1s will start their campaign at home against Rathgar this Saturday at 1.45pm. Jason Klinkradt returns for his 3rd season as coach and Justin Sherriff has been brought on board as assistant coach. Nick Berichon has also been brought in to strengthen the squad. Hopeful the push towards the EYHL can start with a win.
L1s are the late tip off on Saturday, starting at 5pm vs. Three Rock Rovers away. The aim this season is promotion to Div 1. Clive Kennedy returns as coach with Fiona Davitt coming in as assistant coach. Jen Anderson, Holly Rankin, Aisling Grogan and Emma Pichot are expected to make their debuts for the L1s.
M2s will be hoping to bounce back from the lose to Three Rock Rovers last week. With Sam Micklem still under concussion protocols, Rupert Christie comes in between the sticks and frees up Scott Margetson to take his place in defence. Tip off is at 3.45pm in Wesley.
L2s have an early trip northside and will play Suttonians at 10.30am. L2s will try carry last seasons form into this one after picking up the Div 8 title last term. Nick Berichon and Andrew Buckley have taken over the reigns as coach.
M3s have a tough trip away against Monkstown at 12.30pm. A great win last week against division winners Pembroke has confidence high. Monkstown will be strong this week with their 2nd team not having a game.
M4s have the glamour trip away to Enniscorthy, tipping off at 11.30am. The 3-1 win against St. Brendan's last week was the perfect start to the season as St. Brendan's had given the 4s problems last season. Founding member of the 4JLs, Geoff Lenehan, returns to the side for his first match in 2 seasons.
M5s game vs. St. James's Gate has been postponed. No word on a refix date as yet.
Finally, in the evening, we will celebrate the start of the season downstairs in The Dropping Well from 8pm. A chance to catch up with your clubmates and have a fun night out. Hope to see you all there!
